Georgia, Israel work to lift visa regime

Georgian citizens will enjoy visa free regime with Israel from 2011 – Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development, Vera Kobalia announced at the meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Israel, Stas Misezhnikov on 12-th of October.

“We are working on the issue and arguably from 2011 the visa regime between the two countries will be lifted, Mrs. Kobalia said.
The Minister of Tourism of Israel has already visited Kakheti Region and viewed the reconstructed ancient city of Sighnaghi and Kvareli. Georgian Minister said the tourists from Israel were particularly interested in winter resorts of Georgia.
“We have informed them about infrastructure development in Mestia and we are now expecting more tourists from Israel in winter,” Vera Kobalia said.
The delegation chaired by Stas Misezhnikov arrived in Georgia yesterday and will stay here for four days.
